ABOUT THE INCOME TAX SCHOOL
The Income Tax School was developed in 1990 by Peoples Income Tax, Inc. of Richmond, VA. The school was developed to provide professional income tax training for entry-level and experienced tax preparers. The school has achieved this objective for 14 years by keeping abreast of changing tax laws, teaching methods, and the use of various educational resources. The income tax courses have also been offered online since fall 2001. Many students have graduated from The Income Tax School and gone on to become tax professionals. Those already in the tax industry have used the school as a way to meet their need for Continuing Professional Education (CPE). The school is registered as a sponsor of the National Association of State Boards of Accountants (NASBA) and is a provider of CPE for CPAs.
With increasing tax changes and the likelihood of tax preparer regulation, the need for The Income Tax School is becoming essential. Today more than ever people are relying on paid tax professionals to handle their income tax filing and other business affairs.
Due to the fact that the IRS does not finalize tax law changes until the end of the year, our tax courses are based on current year tax law. For example, all courses for 2008 are based on 2007 tax law. Tax law updates are provided to students.
